GOOD OMEN DISTILLERS.

The story of Good Omen Distillers is one of family, music and a deep connection to the Andes Mountains of Ecuador. It begins in La Asuncion, Provincia Bolivar, Ecuador in the home of Alberto and Alvaro’s beloved grandparents Angel Efrain and Fanny Sofia. The couple had seven children and many more grandchildren, whom they cherished deeply. Their home, located in La Asuncion, was a place of love and warmth, where their family and friends gathered to celebrate life and enjoy music, food, and each other’s company.

The name of the distillery, Good Omen, comes from a special moment in the family’s history. The morning after an impromptu gathering at Efrain and Fanny’s home, a neighbor passed by to retell of the past night’s festivities. Alberto and Alvaro were outside and the neighbor commented that he knew the party would be a great one once he saw that Efrain had brought out his accordion to play. Efrain’s accordion was the “Good Omen” that all in Asuncion knew as a sign of good things to come.

With this “Good Omen” memory and an intense sense of pride for their grandparents’ home in Asuncion, Alberto and Alvaro worked to bring their dream of a distillery to life. They found initial inspiration in their grandparents’ home, which sat empty after their passing. They purchased the property and began the process of constructing a high-altitude distillery, perched at 8,693 feet in elevation on the terraces of the Andes mountains. The result is Good Omen Distillers, a place where the legacy of Efrain and Fanny lives on through the production of exceptional spirits crafted from local ingredients.

Good Omen Distillers is more than just a business. It’s a tribute to the Mancero brothers’ family and the values they hold dear, as well as a commitment to making a positive impact on the world around them. The distillery is a beacon of hope for the town of La Asuncion, providing a source of economic development and a reason for tourists to visit and discover the beautiful culture of Ecuador and the Andes Mountains.
